PWM Controllers: (3 Stage, Solid State Controllers)
PWM controllers excel in solar applications. They are highly recommended for small, medium and large solar installations. These controllers also work for wind systems. All of our PWM controllers offer Bulk, Absorption and Float charge modes, along with both manual and automatic equalize modes.
C155-SMA Our highest amperage and advanced controller. Designed for large solar systems. Has both a battery voltage meter as well as an amperage meter to display the total charge current. Two internal breakers rated at 150 Amps offer super easy wiring. This is the controller we use for our own solar installations. For use with 12, 24 and 48 volt battery based systems.
C150-SMA This unit was previously 0ur most advanced controller. Has both a battery voltage meter as well as an amperage meter to display the total charge current. Two internal breakers rated at 150 Amps offer super easy wiring. For use with 12, 24 and 48 volt battery based systems.
C150-SVM Same as the C150-SMA in performance; however, this controller does not have the amperage meter or the two 150 amp internal breakers.
C65-PWM Same as the C150-SVM in a smaller enclosure, having a total rated amperage capacity of 65 amps. For use with 12 and 24 volt battery based systems.
Solenoid Based Controllers: (Single stage)
Single stage controllers are recommended for wind systems (as diversion controllers). They are very rugged, offering a very high capacity per dolla with dissipation capabilities to high amperage loads (diversion loads). Perfect for any wind system. These controllers can also be used for solar systems (or both, at the same time). Please see our articles on controllers.
C440-HVAD Our most advanced solenoid based controller. The digital version of the super popular C440-HVA. Fully digital user interface with super clear LCD display. Even though this controller is solenoid based, it can be used as a full 3 stage controller. For use with 12, 24 and 48 volt battery based systems.
C440-HVA Our most popular controller. Offers both a battery voltage meter along with an amperage meter to measure the charge source current. Includes two 150 amp, internally mounted breakers. Super easy installation and wiring. Truly a great choice for wind systems. This is the controller we use for our own wind installations. For use with 12, 24 and 48 volt battery based systems.
C440-HVM Same as the C440-HVA in performance, however the C440-HVM does not offer the amperage meter or the two internally mounted 150 amp breakers. A great controller.
C440-XL This is a great controller for 12 volt systems on a budget. No meters are included, yet this is a very capable, rugged controller. For use with 12 volt battery based systems.
C440-MMC Our Multi-mode controller. This controller offers a variety of features, including both high and low voltage trip points, various timer settings, numerous combinations of configurations, for control of pumps, inverters and many other devices. Although this controller can also be used as a charge controller, we recommend one of the other controllers if that is all you require. For use with 12, 24 and 48 volt battery based systems.
Relay Based Controllers: (Single Stage)
C160M Probably our most popular controller. Truly a great controller, with lots of capacity. 160 amps diversion for wind, and up to 120 amps for solar. This controller offers a nice LED battery voltage meter. We recommend this controller for small to medium sized wind systems. For use with 12 and 24 volt battery based systems.
C160 Same capabilities as the C160M without the meter.
C40-12SG This is a great controller on a budget. Offers up to 40 amps of diversion control and up to 30 amps of solar control (at the same time). For use with 12 volt battery based systems.
CKIT The Completed Kit is a fully functional controller PCB board, perfect for the DIYer and those on a budget. Allows you to use your own enclosure to create a great controller. Comes with one 40/30 relay (40 amps diversion, 30 amps solar). Add up to 3 more relays (12 volt systems, or 1 more relay in 24 volt systems) for additional capacity. Note: All of our controllers are designed to be mounted indoors, in a dry, preferably cool environment. We do not offer any controllers suitable to be mounted outdoors without the use of additional protection from the elements.
Please do not mount in a high salt air environment. These controllers are not suitable for boats without an additional sealed enclosure. Mount these controllers where you would place your finest stereo system.
